Cameron K. Rokhsar, MD, FAAD, FAACS
is a board certified dermatologist with a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and surgery. After graduating from Harvard University, Dr. Rokhsar attended The New York University School of Medicine where he received his doctorate of medicine. After his internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, he completed his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City where he was honored for his teaching and leadership skills as Chief Resident. Dr. Rokhsar went on to receive fellowship training in cosmetic, laser and dermatologic Surgery in San Diego.
Dr. Rokhsar is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of American Society for Liposuction Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery, a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, a member of the American society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
Dr. Rokhsar has a special interest in eyelid rejuvenation, laser surgery for rejuvenation as well as birthmarks and other dermatologic conditions, treatment of wrinkles with Botox, Fillers such as Restylane, Collagen, Radiance, liposculpture with the tumescent technique, hair restoration surgery, skin cancer and its treatment through Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and general skin care.
Dr. Rokhsar spent a good portion of the previous year refining and developing applications for a new laser technology named FRAXEL. He was one the first to introduce Fraxel Laser technology to the world medical community at a national meeting recently. He has trained numerous physicians on the technique and parameters used for this laser technology, and has lectured on this subject numerous times including at Controversies and Conversations in Laser Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Rokhsar has an active interest in research and teaching. He is on Faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City where he teaches residents. He has completed multiple research projects in laser applications, liposculpture, and eyelid rejuvenation and has presented his findings at national medical meetings. Dr. Rokhsar is a primary author of several chapters in major textbooks.
Dr. Rokhsar is well known for his attention to detail as well as his caring attitude towards his patient’s needs.
